Terms of Use
Effective date: 7 May 2026 • Governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Member") and Scripture Union Ghana, operator of SU Connect Ghana ("Platform"). They are issued in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) of the Republic of Ghana and other applicable laws.
1. Acceptance
By registering for or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent/guardian as required by the Children's Act, 1998 (Act 560), to register an account.
3. Account & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You shall promptly notify us of any unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to commit any offence under the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775), or any other Ghanaian law. Prohibited conduct includes unauthorised access, fraud, harassment, defamation, hate speech, distribution of malware, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Scripture Union Ghana a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use such content for the operation and promotion of the Platform. You warrant that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
6. Donations & Payments
Donations and payments processed via the Platform (including Paystack and Mobile Money) are subject to the terms of the relevant payment processor and the Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019 (Act 987). All donations are voluntary and, save where required by law, non-refundable.
7. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, designs, and software on the Platform are the property of Scripture Union Ghana or its licensors and are protected under the Copyright Act, 2005 (Act 690) and related laws.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes our practices under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Scripture Union Ghana shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where these Terms or applicable Ghanaian law are breached.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, failing which the matter shall be referred to mediation or arbitration under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798), and ultimately to the courts of Ghana, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
